EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The management and administration of the AGRASRI is vested by 9-Member Executive Council, headed by Smt. D. Bharathi Sundar, Social Activist and Co-founder of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India, as the President.

The following is the composition of the Executive Council for the years 2021-2023:

MRS. D. BHARATHI SUNDAR
Social Activist and Co-founder, AGRASRI

Mrs. D. Bharathi Sundar is a social activist and Co-founder of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India, Tirupati. Mrs. Bharathi Sundar is a source of inspiration and backbone of the multi-dimensional activities of the Academy over a period of 2 decades. She is strongly proliferating to implement the provisions of the 73rd Constitutional Amendment Act towards the devolution of 3 F’s- Functions, Functionaries and Finances- to the Gram Panchayats for delivering good governance at the grassroots since the inception of AGRASRI. As Co-founder of AGRASRI, Mrs. Bharathi Sundar is playing very significant role in organising numerous National Seminars/ Conferences/ Workshops, for elected representatives of PRI’s and Women activists at the national, state, regional and district levels. She is associated with many Self-Help Groups and Grassroots level organisations for improving the capacity building for their livelihood and social development.
Mrs. D. Bharathi Sundar is the President of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India since 2021 onwards.

MR. D. SAI KUMAR
Young Social Activist and Entrepreneur

Mr. D. Sai Kumar is young social activist and Entrepreneur and he got the B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Chandrasekharendra Visva Maha Vidyalaya (Deemed University), Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. He has completed his Internship Programme at the Central Railway Wagon Workshop, Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India, Renigunta. His areas of interests are: Automobiles and Aeronautics. He has participated in several Seminars, Conferences and Training Programmes organised under the aegis of Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India (AGRASRI) as Co-ordinator. He visited many Gram Panchayats as part of several research studies of AGRASRI, as team member. He is one of the key Members of the Organising Committee of AGRASRI. Mr. Sai Kumar is also the Co-ordinator of the Youth Resource Centre of AGRASRI.
Mr. D. Sai Kumar is the Vice-President of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India since 2021 onwards.

Dr. D. Sundar Ram is Founder of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India, Tirupati; Editor, The Indian Journal of Grassroots Governance (IJGGJ), Tirupati and Consulting Editor, The American Biographical Institute (ABI), United States of America. He was the Doctoral Fellow and Post-Doctoral Fellow (UGC Research Associate) in Political Science at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati; Parliamentary Fellow at the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, New Delhi; Associate Professor & Head, P.G. Dept. of Public Administration at S.S. & N. College PG Centre (Acharya Nagarjuna University), Narasaraopet, Guntur District (A.P). He is a prolific writer, author, researcher and analyst. He has written extensively on Indian governance and polity, parliamentary studies, electoral reforms, Andhra Pradesh State politics, decentralisation, federalism and good governance, with over 25 books, 153 research papers and 32 talks in All India Radio to his credit. He has been selected as ICSSR Senior Fellow by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), with the affiliation of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.
Dr. D. Sundar Ram is the Member-Secretary-cum-Director of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India since 2002 onwards.

Mrs. D. SUCHARITHA
Computer Analyst

Mrs. D. Sucharitha is an active Social Activist and Computer Science Analyst. She got M. Tech. Post-Graduate Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering (Sri Venkateswara University), Tirupati. Her areas of Specialisations are: Cloud Computing, Data Mining and Big Data. She presented papers at the National and International Seminars/Conferences. She has delivered few talks on Computer Applications in All India Radio, Tirupati. She is organising many capacity building and skill development techniques in Computer Applications for the grassroots level activists, SHG members and educated rural Youth on behalf of the AGRASRI. She is the Editorial Assistant of The Grassroots Governance Journal, Bi-annual research publication of AGRASRI. She is also the Co-ordinator of the Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and Capacity Building & Training Programmes of AGRASRI.
Mrs. D. Sucharitha is the Senior Assistant Director and Treasurer of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India from 2017 onwards.

PROF. A. RANGA REDDY
Chairman, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Tirupati Local Branch

Prof. A. Ranga Reddy is the Chairman of the Indian Institute of Public Administration Local Branch, Tirupati. He has been Professor of Economics and UGC Emeritus Fellow in the Department of Economics, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He was the President of the SV University Retired Teachers Association. Prof. Ranga Reddy is a prolific author and associated with many Universities and Organisations in various capacities. He served as Member of the Governing Council of Manonmani Sundaranar University, Tamil Nadu. He has organised a large number of Seminars and Conferences on the themes of relevance. He has completed several research projects funded by the University Grants Commission and Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi. He visited USA, France, Sri Lanka, Malasia and Singapore. Prof. Ranga Reddy is mixed with mass and class as teacher, researcher and administrator.
Prof. A. Ranga Reddy is the Member of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India since 2002 onwards.

PROF (MRS) T. LAKSHMAMMA
Vice-Chairperson, AP State Council for Higher Education, Govt. of AP

Prof (Mrs) T. Lakshmamma is the Vice-Chairperson, Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Professor of Population Studies and Social Work (On Deputation), Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. Her areas of Specialisations are: Mortality, Family Planning, MCH, Reproductive Adolescent Issues, and Research Methods. She has published a large number of research papers in national journals and delivered talks in All India Radio. She is associated with many Civil Society Organisations and Community Based Organisations and conducted several rural camps. She is the resource person of various Universities and Colleges. Prof. Lakshmamma is having more than 24 years of teaching and research experience in population studies and social work.
Prof (Mrs) T. Lakshmamma is the Member of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India from 2017 onwards.

Dr. V. HARI NAIDU
Former President, Chittoor District Sarpanchs Association

Dr. V. Hari Naidu is the Former Reader in Telugu in Govt. Degree College, Chittoor. He has been the President of the Chittoor District Sarpanch’s Association and Sarpanch of Keenatampalli Gram Panchayat, Yadamari Mandal of Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. He is a social activist and Master Trainer in Panchayati Raj Administration. He has taken initiatives to develop the Keenatampalli Gram Panchayat, as role model Gram Panchayat with adequate infrastructure facilities during his stint as Sarpanch. He has encouraged the educated youth in his GP and involving them in many social development activities through Keenatampalli Youth Association. He is poet, trainer and author. He is associated with Nehru Yuvak Kendra, Chittoor.
Dr. V. Hari Naidu is the Member of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India since 2021 onwards.

SHRI A. RAVI SANKAR REDDY
General Manager, Hotel Bliss

Shri A. Ravi Sankar Reddy is the General Manager of Hotel Bliss, Tirupati. He has graduated from Kakatiya University, Warangal. As expert in Hotel Management, Sri Ravi Sankar Reddy has organised variety of Indian traditional food festivals in Hotel Bliss to attract the customers and visitors from across the country. With his utmost care and vision, the Hotel Bliss has received the Winner Award for Excellence in 3 Star Hotel Category; Winner Award for Excellence in Best Restaurant Category and Winner Award for Excellence in 3 Star Hotel Category from the Department of AP Tourism, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, in the years 2008, 2009 and 2014. Under his able management, the Hotel Bliss has conferred the HMTV’s ‘Retail Ratna Award’ for the Year 2019. Shri Ravi Sankar Reddy is a man of integrity and culture and always amicable to the staff and customers of Hotel Bliss as successful General Manager for the past 15 Years. His is a good friend and philosopher to general public in organising any events in Hotel Bliss at the affordable prices with high quality food and accommodation.
Shri A. Ravi Shankar Reddy is the Member of the Executive Council of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India since 2017 onwards.

SHRI N. NAVEEN KUMAR
Study Director and Senior Research Associate, GVK Biosciences Pvt. Ltd.

Shri N. Naveen Kumar is working as Study Director and Senior Research Associate at the GVK Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. He received M.Sc. degree in Bio-Technology from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences University, Tirupati in the year 2014. He worked as Quality Assurance Trainee in the Project on ‘Quality Assurance Functioning in GLP as a Contract Research Organisation’ at RCC Laboratories India Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad from November 2014 to May 2015. Subsequently, he worked as Study Director, Department of Genetic Toxicology at the RCC Laboratories India Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad from 2016 to 2019. His areas of research specialisations are: Cell Culture Techniques, Molecular Biology, Quality Assurance and Genetic Toxicology.
